Magnetek Announces Addition to Marketing Communications Staff

Menomonee Falls, Wis. – January 14, 2008 – Magnetek, Inc. (NYSE: MAG) today announced the hiring of Kristan Grote as the marketing communications specialist for Elevator and Alternative Energy divisions. Grote previously worked as a magazine editor for Journal Communications, Inc. She has over five years of journalism experience covering communities and businesses in Southeastern Wisconsin.

Grote holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Wisconsin – Parkside, and is a Master’s candidate in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.

“I am excited about the opportunity to showcase Magnetek’s green solutions for people moving and alternative energy delivery to a world-wide market, as well as our market-leading material handling products,” Grote said.

She resides in Milwaukee with her husband and their four children.
